Former India opener Chetan Chauhan falls to Covid-19

Renowned Test opener Chetan Chauhan succumbed to Covid-19 infection after suffering from multiple-organ failure at the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon on Sunday. The 73-year-old, a serving Cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, had contracted the virus on July 12. He is survived by his wife and son, who is flying in from Melbourne to perform his last rites.
